Languages 

 At Hornbeam Primary School our Languages curriculum enables children to develop an interest in learning another language in a way that is enjoyable and stimulating. We are currently using the Language Angels scheme for our French curriculum.  

French is taught throughout Key Stage 2. 
Learning a language helps children to: 

• Develop a genuine interest and positive curiosity about foreign languages and in the culture of other nations and communities. 
• Develop a deeper understanding of other cultures and the world around them with a better awareness and respect of self, others and cultural differences. 
• Build confidence and resilience.
