Betteshanger Mining Trip - Year 6

As part of our class topic on mining, we have arranged for the children to visit Betteshanger Country Park on Monday 8^th June. 

The day will consist of a number of activities that will help the children understand what life was like for miners in Deal. This will include a tour of the museum,  meet a miner who will talk them trough what a day in the life of a miner was like, enjoy a dress up drama and role play workshop, along with various art and craft activities. 

The cost of this trip is included in the Year 6 events.

- Date – Monday 8^th June 

- Drop off between 8.45am/9am

- Collect at 2.45pm

- Please supply a packed lunch and plenty of water.(If eligible for Free school meals a lunch can be provided, please advise the school)

- Clothing - suitable for outdoor learning, to include a hat, as it may be sunny, please apply sun cream in the morning.

- No spending money is required.
